Film director Lin Jien-Shiang(林建享) shared how he connected human to land through a humble perspective. In 1989, with his friends, the director formed Multidimensional Art Studio(多面向藝術工作室) with the purpose to capture Taiwan’s culture, history and social transformations through film camera. Ranging from indigenous cultures and social movements to issues of the environment and disadvantaged groups, Lin has made use of his life experiences to reveal to us the ways in which he translated his sensory impressions through lens and narratives and ultimately mobilized conversation between people with different cultural backgrounds.
